The Best Homemade Lip Scrub Recipes For Soft, Lucious Lips

5 easy DIY lip scrubs for smooth lips

Your lips will look soft, smooth, and healthy after using this homemade lip scrub to remove flaky, dry skin. using this simple method, you may make your own homemade lip scrub using basic, all-natural ingredients.

Nothing is worse than having dry, flaky lips. Your lips may feel dry and chapped during colder weather, or even during the summer when you don’t drink enough water. Although I regularly apply this homemade lip balm to my lips, sometimes it’s necessary to exfoliate the lips’ damaged skin.

Although there are lots of lip exfoliants you can buy online, is it really worth that price? Why would you pay $10 to $50 for a product when you could make it yourself for under a dollar? I have a quick and simple homemade sugar lip scrub recipe that uses things you probably already have in your kitchen.

What Is A Lip Scrub

A mechanical exfoliator, or one that physically eliminates dead skin cells, is what lip scrubs are. Lips that have been properly exfoliated can more easily absorb protective and hydrating products like lip balm.

An exfoliator and a nourishing agent are the two main ingredients that make up a lip scrub. The emollient or nourishing component gives your exfoliant a hydrating basis that makes it simpler to apply to your lips. These two work together to moisturize and hydrate your lips.

How To Exfoliate Your Lips

-Before you begin, make sure your lips are makeup-free.

-To remove dead skin, gently exfoliate your homemade lip scrub.

-To help keep the air around you wet, use a humidifier, this will help prevent tearing your lips open and causing them to bleed.

-If you exfoliate in the morning, wear an SPF lip balm; if you’re getting ready for bed, use a hydrating lip balm.

Tips For Exfoliating Your Lips

Be Gentle: Don’t exfoliate lips too hard! When applying your sugar scrub, rub it into your skin in a gentle slow motion to avoid tearing your skin open.

-Don’t Overdo It: Only exfoliate your lips once or twice a week; this will remove enough dry skin to keep your lips soft and supple, until your next exfoliation. And make sure to avoid exfoliating when your lips are feeling extra sensitive.

-SPF: Apply lip balm with an SPF ingredient before going outside to protect your lips from the sun’s harmful rays.

-Always Moisturize: After exfoliating, choose a creamy lip balm to moisturize your lips. The Shea Butter and natural oils in NIVEA Original Care Lip Balm will help keep your lips moisturized for up to 24 hours!

-Be Patient: You should wait at least an hour after exfoliating your lips to apply any makeup to it.

Should You Exfoliate Your Lips

You should be exfoliating your lips! There are numerous easy ways to make a lip scrub at home, so you don’t need to do anything elaborate to exfoliate. But first, let’s take a closer look at how exfoliating might benefit you before we share our homemade lip scrub recipe.

Benefits Of Lip Exfoliation

Lip care is not just important for looking good. You can better maintain soft, supple, and healthy-looking lips by exfoliating your lips once or twice a week. Other advantages of lip scrubs include but are not limited to:

-Getting rid of dry skin prevents chapped and dry lips.

-Exfoliating your lips can stop them from becoming dehydrated, which can result in swelling, bleeding, or dryness.

-To soften and smooth out your lips.

-To prevent discomfort by maintaining the moisture of your lips.

-Minimizes the appearance of discoloration by balancing your lip tone.

-To improve the appearance and durability of your lipstick.

Ingredients Information

Why Use Coconut Oil In Your DIY Lip Scrub

There is nothing else like organic coconut oil for your skin! Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants that nourish the skin, it can permeate the skin more deeply than other products due to its low molecular weight and way of attaching to proteins. If necessary, you can also use shea butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, or olive oil for coconut oil. When you run out of coconut oil, these oils are a great substitute.

Why Use Sugar In Your DIY Lip Scrub

For the basis of your lib scrubs, you can use white sugar, brown sugar, raw sugar, or coconut sugar. While brown sugar and coconut sugar have a subtle, sweet scent, cane sugar, which is the standard in most scrubs, has almost no scent. Sugar exfoliates the skin effectively and is gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Why Use Honey In Your DIY Lip Scrub

Honey is beneficial for both dry and chapped lips. It possesses wound healing, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial effects. Apply honey to your lips throughout the day to add moisture, promote healing, and prevent cracking or infection in chapped lips.

Why Use Cocoa Powder In Your DIY Lip Scrub

Antioxidants found in cocoa powder help to combat the effects of aging, brighten your skin, and lessen the appearance of red spots. You can frequently find antioxidants in fruits, vegetables, tea, chocolate, and wine.

Why Use Coffee In Your DIY Lip Scrub

You can utilize this hidden weapon to maintain the youthful appearance of your skin and lips. Caffeine is a superfood that also tones the lips and aids with pigmentation reduction, is added to coffee. Coffee grinds, which are rich in antioxidants, efficiently exfoliate dry, chapped lips to provide you with flushed lips.

How To Choose Your Scent For Your DIY Lip Scrub

To give this lip scrub a revitalizing scent, add a fragrance. I use organic essential oils, but you may also use herbs, plant extracts (like vanilla extract), and scents.

Lavender oil: Lavender oil deeply nourishes your lips and is excellent for preventing sunburns on your lips.

Peppermint oil: Peppermint oil aids in promoting blood flow under the lips and producing a fuller appearance that makes your lips look larger.

Vanilla Extract: It can aid in soothing and moisturizing chapped, dry lips. Vanilla extract may be used to make lip balm that is not only delicious-smelling but also good for your lips.

How To Store Your DIY Lip Scrub

Making homemade lip scrubs in small batches is always a good idea. They’ll last you for approximately a week and stay fresh. Use an old, dry, clean lip balm or eyeshadow container to store your scrub, or buy containers on Amazon. To avoid bacteria, sterilizing the container by soaking it in hot water for a while is advised, and storing it in the fridge.

All of these homemade lip scrub recipes are simple to make and may keep your lips soft, smooth, and moisturized without irritating them.

Natural lip hydrators include coconut, honey, and vanilla, while sugar acts as a scrub. However, be careful not to over-scrub your lips because this could harm them.

Also, be sure to eat well and drink plenty of water. The majority of your skin care problems can be resolved with a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, feel free to select one of the homemade lip scrubs on the list; we are confident that your lips will adore the recipes.

How To Make Coconut Lime Body Scrub For Silky-Soft Skin

DIY coconut lime body scrub

Summer will soon arrive as May approaches and the temperature begins to rise quickly. When you have dry skin after the winter, the first few days of wearing shorts and dresses can be a little unsettling. Therefore, you need a good body scrub by your side in this situation. In my opinion, coconut and lime make a great mix. Making and using this scrub in the shower is so much fun. You get silky soft skin after using this scrub, which is like having a tropical summery party in the shower. I’ll also demonstrate how easy it is to make.

A zester works excellent for zesting all citrus and makes it simple to zest a lime. Remember to reserve the lime for future use. You can use any lime oil, but I really like to use these essential oils. It is of the greatest caliber and is reasonably priced. Since coconut oil isn’t particularly fragrant, I added a little coconut extract to intensify the coconut flavor. Remember that we really want that tropical explosion.

Coconut Lime Body Scrub

With just a few ingredients, you can make this easy coconut lime body scrub! This body scrub hydrates and exfoliates your skin, leaving it feeling incredibly soft.

Ingredients For The Coconut Lime Body Scrub

-1/2 Cup Virgin Coconut Oil

-1 Cup Organic sugar or salt

-20 Drops of Lime Essential Oil

-1 Tsp lime zest

-1 Tsp coconut extract

Directions For Making The Coconut Lime Body Scrub

Step 1: The coconut oil should be added to a medium-sized bowl and stirred with a spoon until it softens up. The coconut oil must not be melted for your scrub to have a light, fluffy texture.

Step 2: Stir to combine the coconut oil with the lime zest, lime essential oil, and coconut extract.

Step 3: Add the sugar and thoroughly combine.

Step 4: Store in a clean container. This can be kept for a few weeks at room temperature. I use mine a couple of times a week and keep it in the shower.

You should use them within two to three weeks and store them in a cool, dry area, as you do with all homemade body scrubs. Because lime oil is a natural preservative, you shouldn’t be concerned that the lime zest will spoil in the mixture. But be careful not to let water into your container while using it in the shower, as that could cause the scrub to dissolve.

An excellent moisturizing body scrub is coconut oil. I simply rinse it off in the shower and towel dry it throughout the winter when my skin is really dry. However, you can still feel its moisturizing effects if you rinse with a mild soap or body wash afterward if your skin is oilier than normal. Just pay attention to your skin; you are the expert. Your skin will be left feeling silky smooth after using this scrub, and you’ll be prepared for summer.

TIP: Why You Should Use Lime Extract And Not Lime Juice?

The pH range of normal adult skin is between 4 and 6, making it moderately acidic. Skin can become extremely irritated by acids with pH values of 3 or below. The pH of lime juice is about 2.3. Your skin may become more prone to irritation and inflammation, including acne if you expose it to acidic substances. It’s also STICKY!

How To Save An Unproductive Morning To Have A Productive Day

Productive habits that will help you save an unproductive day

Everybody’s definition of a productive morning is different: It can entail getting in a workout before 8 a.m., thawing dinner before leaving the house, responding to all of your unanswered emails over your first cup of coffee, or polishing your presentation before a big meeting.

However, feeling productive has advantages beyond merely checking things off your to-do list; it can influence how you feel about yourself throughout the day. You feel like you’re on a roll and keep going after a productive morning.

When we fulfill our goals, we feel a sense of accomplishment, and this emotion might encourage us to keep moving forward. And even when your morning is a disaster—you feel groggy and sleepy, and you forget about your workout—the presentation abandoned—it’s never too late to reset.

How To Save An Unproductive Morning

There is no use concentrating on what is past due, what we ought to have done, or the fact that we ought to be further along than we are. We must face the fact that we are where we are, and the sooner we do so and create a new strategy based on our current situation and the time we have left, the more effective we will be. Here’s a guide on how to achieve that.

1. Reset

Take a moment to collect your thoughts and reset before the pressure of your to-do list, which is now obvious to be impossible to complete, sends you into full-on panic mode. This mode manifests itself as either trying to complete everything at once in a panic or spending the rest of the day procrastinating.

Consider how you’re feeling and what has occurred—perhaps you were asked to assist with a coworker’s project, your team meeting lasted too long, or you are fatigued and unable to concentrate—and adjust your expectations accordingly.

You can also get some mental clarity through physical activity: Try doing 100 jumping jacks, a few minutes of deep breathing, a short walk or jog, or some dancing and singing.

2. Readjust

It’s time to review your to-do list once you’ve calmed down. What absolutely needs to happen and what may be delayed without negative effects? Make a realistic strategy for what will allow you to feel as though you had a productive afternoon, whether that means completing all the little things on your list or making significant progress on a long-term project.

Take into account your energy levels and the rest of the day’s responsibilities. Your perspective is crucial in this situation as well; envision yourself starting now rather than catching up. Catching up makes us feel perpetually behind, whereas starting now feels deliberate and purposeful.

3. Re-Work And Plan For Tomorrow

Rework your nightly schedule to include time for preparations that can help things go more smoothly, regardless of whether you’ll make up for today’s delay tomorrow or you find your mornings to be typically unproductive.

Make sure you have a realistic plan for what you’ll do the following day given the time you have available. Then, change your schedule to reflect this. Look at your calendar for the following day and compare it to your task list. You can avoid wasting a lot of energy by doing this at night and not during the morning.

You can immediately begin carrying out your to-do list from your prioritized list when you sit down to work. End-of-day planning makes sure you’re efficient with your time and proactive rather than reactive. Before you even check your email in the morning, start working on your most challenging, unpleasant, or stressful chore.

As Brian Tracy would say Eat the frog (the name of a time-management proverb). The premise is that if you have to eat a frog every day, eat it first thing in the morning and everything will taste sweeter for the rest of the day. Starting your day with the most difficult work will give you an extra burst of motivation for the rest of the day.

How To Make Your Days More Productive In 5 Easy Steps

how to be more productive in 5 easy steps

We all fight with trying to be productive in our day-to-day lives. Most of the time, some days will be highly productive while others may not.

We all want to be productive every day, therefore my hope is that reading this may help you learn something new or be motivated to work more. While we have no control over everything that occurs in life, we DO have some control over how effective we can be.

We cannot wait for the perfect moment to begin in order to be productive. To make it happen, we must design that ideal moment ourselves.

5 Ways To Be More Productive

Unfortunately, if we don’t know how to manage our time well, the majority of it can be lost. I have a few tips that can be helpful if you’re sick of feeling like you don’t do enough during your workday.

1. Have A Good Morning Routine

There isn’t a better way to begin the day! Everyone can have an organized morning, regardless of the time they wake up.

Finding what you need to get out of bed is the first step. Maybe it’s setting multiple alarms, leaving your phone across the room to get up and turn it off, or maybe even just doing a few jumping jacks as soon as you wake up. Do whatever it takes to remove the sleep from your eyes.

Try waking up and engaging in an activity to get your body and mind moving. Do what best suits you, maybe do some yoga, stretching, or HIIT workout in the morning.

Or you might try morning meditation and journaling, which is excellent for focusing your thoughts and allowing you to begin the day fresh.

2. Have A Daily Plan

You should always have a plan for your day, whether it’s in your daily planner or notes on your phone. If you don’t know what you need to do, you won’t be able to do much! Setting priorities for your agenda is the secret to a successful workday.

You’ll be more organized and productive if you set aside ten minutes each day to get ready for what lies ahead. Do you need to make a to-do list or an hourly schedule? What will help you remember your tasks the best? Do you have any upcoming events or meetings? Do you have any emails to send? Write down everything no matter how trivial it may seem.

Because not every task will be urgent, understand your priorities. In actuality, there are moments when you must be willing to set some things aside. Keep an eye on the deadlines, as they will always be a great method to direct and plan your workflow.

Don’t worry if you can’t finish it all in one day. There is always tomorrow, for this reason. Simply make a new list for the following day, and prepare yourself to complete it as efficiently as possible. Make careful to cross off every task as you finish them during the day. Nothing beats the sense of satisfaction you get from seeing all the tasks on your to-do list crossed off.

Make daily, weekly, and monthly goals. Keep them in a place that is simple to get to. It’s simpler to stay focused on what’s most crucial when you have your daily goal in sight.

3. Take Care Of Yourself

Being productive requires feeling well and energized because you can’t accomplish anything without it. Be sure to get adequate sleep, drink lots of water, eat wholesome meals that give you energy, exercise, walk or run, stretch, and take deep breaths.

Whatever makes you feel strong and healthy!

This will assist in setting you up for success in completing your day’s tasks. Even if you grasp all the other productivity hacks on this list, you’ll still be lacking a crucial productivity component if you don’t take care of yourself.

Your capacity to maintain concentration and complete activities depends primarily on your mind and body. Before you can take care of anything else, you must take care of yourself!

4. Keep Your Environment Clean

The next step is to tidy up your area. Being disorganized at your desk or work area will not help you stay focused all day. Make sure you only have the tools and supplies you need to finish your activity or task and tidy up your workspace.

I like to have a tidy desk, a cup of tea or coffee, my computer, and sometimes some music, and then I can start writing in a productive environment. Instead of waiting for the ideal circumstance to arise, I prefer to create it. Because it might never happen that perfect moment. Create it yourself, then!

5. The Pomodoro Technique

Although the Pomodoro Technique has been around for years, the most efficient way to do it right now is through a phone app. There are many strategies to organize your time, but I’ve always found the Pomodoro Technique to be one of the most effective.

It is easy to do, you begin by choosing a task and establishing a 25-minute timer. The objective is to maintain your attention and fully commit to the task over that period of time. You get a five-minute rest after your timer goes off!

Take a stroll, grab a snack, or check your emails—do whatever you want during this break.

The cycle will then be repeated once more. After completing four Pomodaros, you are entitled to an extra-long break of 15 to 30 minutes. This gives your mind a chance to recharge before beginning a brand-new round.

The Pomodoro Technique is one of my favorites since it fairly divides your focus between work and leisure time. Even if the Pomodoro Technique won’t work best for everyone, it’s worth a shot. Finding a time management strategy that works for you and using it consistently should be your main priorities.

It’s clearly time for a change if you frequently experience the midday slump at work. You can develop a more productive lifestyle that will make you feel content and successful by incorporating new tactics!

These are the five things I do to increase productivity. Knowing how to be productive is one thing, but putting that knowledge into practice is quite another. You will notice that your productivity increases as you put these strategies into action.
